In addition to outstanding academics, Midwest also teaches students accountability, values, integrity, respect, honor and responsibility. The Academy offers a structured environment where students can develop proper motivation and self direction which allows them to progress both academically and personally.The Academy, located just north of Keokuk, Iowa, provides a great location. It is only a few-hour drive from many major cities in the Central United States.

Rich with history, culture and natural beauty, Keokuk boasts exceptional infrastructure including healthcare facilities, colleges, quiet neighborhoods, and recreational opportunities. Keokuk owes its existence and its future to its most dominant force, the Mississippi River. Today nearly 11,000 call this beautiful city home.

Many visitors remark on the beauty and “greenness” of Keokuk, with its huge trees lining most residential areas and its public parks that offer recreational facilities. Lee County wildlife areas and parks offer many trails, historical sites, horse trails, and camping. The Mississippi River provides many opportunities to observe ducks and geese as well as deer, squirrel, wild turkey, pheasant, and quail in the surrounding rural areas.

Warranty

Midwest Residential Specialty Boarding School offers an exclusive "Warranty". All students who have successfully completed all "Character Building" courses including "Leadership Training" at this facility may be re-admitted to the school for up to 60 days of free tuition, if he or she does not show satisfactory academic progress or character development before the age of 18.

Seminars

The Residential Specialty Boarding Schools we represent provide a series of highly effective “Educational Seminars and Workshops” specifically designed to teach character building. During these Seminars, teens learn about key character-building qualities such as:

  • Honesty
  • Integrity
  • Trust
  • Proper Choices
  • Responsibility
  • Self-Esteem

While the student is completing his or her series of seminars, the parents are invited to attend "Parent Seminars" and "Parent Support Meetings" held in many locations throughout the United States . The highlight of the seminars is when parents and students are invited to attend three effective "Parent/Child Workshops". These are designed to assist each family in improving communications and strengthening relationships.
